Introduction

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as The Global Goals, are a collection of 17 global goals that aimed to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. One of 17 goals in SDGs is “Quality Education (4th Goal)”. Achieving inclusive and quality education, especially in science education, is one of the most powerful and proven vehicles for creating sustainable development. The International Seminar on Science Education (ISSE) is the major opportunity each year to discuss the interaction among education sciences in developing areas for sustainable development within Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Natural Science areas. It provides a platform for international education practitioners, teaching staff, researchers, and other stakeholders learning the major science education trends for achieving quality science education. Therefore, the seminar intent to keep abreast of the current development and innovation in science education area as well as providing an engaging platform for participant to share knowledge and expertise in related disciplines.

Call For Papers

On behalf of committees, we warmly invite you to participate in The 6th International Seminar on Science Education (ISSE) that will be held by Graduate School, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta on November 28th – 29th 2020, with a theme of “Enhancing Quality of Science Education Through Innovative Research for Sustainable Development Goals” Due to The COVID-19, The 6th ISSE will be fully conducted online (Virtual Conference). The conference aims to provide a platform for researchers, educators, students, and practitioners in science education areas from around the world to learn the major science education trends for achieving quality science education. The selected paper will be published in the IOP Conference Proceeding.

 

Scope

the conference welcomes paper with an included topic, but not limited to:

  • Integration of Local Wisdom and Potential
  • Concept and Implementation of Scientific and Environmental Literacy
  • Sustainable Environment Education
  • Disaster Mitigation
  • Teaching and Learning Innovation
  • Assessment and Evaluation Development
  • Teaching Materials, Multimedia, and Digital Based Education Technologies Development
  • Curriculum Development

 

Registration fee

The selected paper will be published in Atlantis Press conference proceeding indexed by Web of Science. The publication will be charged IDR 1.500.000 or USD 107 and paid after notification of publication acceptance.

Dear authors,

On behalf of the 6th ISSE 2020 Committee, we greatly apologize to inform you about the change in publisher. We did not meet an agreement with the IOP Publisher to publish our article due to several excuses. Therefore, the proceeding for this seminar is now moved to another publisher. The selected paper will be published in Atlantis Press conference proceeding indexed by Web of Science (which can be used as a Judicial Requirement for UNY Students). The publication will be charged IDR 1.500.000 or USD 107 and paid after notification of publication acceptance.

The authors accepting our publication offer, please immediately revise the article format according to the template from Atlantis Press, which can be downloaded on the ISSE Official Website. The deadline for uploading the Article Format Revision is February 8th – 10th, 2021. Those who do not upload the revision will be considered rejecting the publication offer, and please remove the uploaded article file on your ISSE’s account for convenience. For the smoothness of the review round 2 and publication process, please pay attention to the following important dates revision of 6th ISSE 2020:
